One of the things I always notice in Queensland is just how bright and vibrant everything is (particularly when I'm escaping the grey cold of Melbourne winter). I was lucky to spend a beautiful sunny morning exploring the Daintree River by boat. While my eyes were firmly focused on the many birds and reptiles that call the river home, I snapped this moment of calm reflection as the morning sun gave way to the vivid blue sky and green mangrove trees.
