This wombat joey was actually the first wombat I spotted in the wild – and he couldn't have been any cuter. On our first night in Wilsons Prom, we were eager to see the famous Tidal River wombats emerge after sunset. This little guy wandered straight up to the back deck behind our cabin and entertained us during our whole stay, zooming around the grass, emerging in and out of the burrow, and jumping on his mother's back.
